Great hotel,Nice security,has a great indoor pool and nice hot tub.Bathrooms and rooms are real clean and nice
Beds were okay. Room felt grimey, like it needed a good cleaning. I would guess room cleaning consists of a once over and that's it. No free breakfast. We were shorted towels which we didn't realize until the morning, and the front desk was too busy to bring them to the room. I would skip this hotel next time through
We are platinum Marriott members, so you can imagine how many Marriott hotels we have stayed in all over the country. In my opinion, Courtyard Marriott in Southaven is the best when it comes to customer service. We booked a room for 5 days using points.. So we are staying free. The first day I had a problem with a package I was expecting because I accidentally sent it to the Fairfield inn. I called the desk and Tameka called the Fairfield inn and asked them to have fed ex to bring the package here. The next day we were having trouble with the tub because my husband is handicapped. I asked and they changed our room to one with a shower only. The ladies who worked in the bistro were amazing and all the staff are super friendly. Whenever we come to Memphis, this is where we will be staying.
Never pre-pay for a room here, as this management staff tried to rip us off on a holiday weekend by not honoring our pre-paid reservation when my wife arrived to check in without me, even though she had the reservation in hand and had me confirm to them on the phone. Hotels like this like to take advantage of pre-paid folks by finding any reason to not honor their reservation so they can resell the room and essentially double dip on the room revenue for that night. It's an old trick played by dishonest hotel managers to try to boost revenues. After calling through to the booking company (American Express Travel) and having them give the hotel a call to add her name, the hotel still wouldn't comply. After pressuring them with legal action involving their management company, they finally let her and my 10 year old son check in after they made them wait for nearly two hours, and literally stranded in the lobby with no where to go on one of the coldest nights of the year.
After their stay, she said the room wasn't even up to standard for what's typically expected from that brand. Do not ever book this hotel and support this kind of management practice, and very below average accommodations. With the tons of obvious fake positive reviews , they must have gone to dishonest hotel management U to learn all the tricks! Buyer Beware!!!
Large, nice rooms. Lobby is large and comfortable. Good location to many restaurants and shops. Staff was wonderful.
