I really enjoy this gym when I can drag my carcass into it. I had to cut it out before my wedding due to the planning just getting hectic and out of control. I plan to pick it back up though since my coworker wants me training for a marathon with her....I was always more of a weight lifter because I hate running but anything to encourage my friends.
I exercise at my own rate. They have trainers if you want. You can be part of a group or 1 on 1. Water aerobics, indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, hydrotherapy bed, tanning
Signed a contract in November 2016, was told by the owner and trainers that the contract does not automatically renew. I could expect my last payment in October 2017. However, in November 2017, I received another payment on the contract that was supposed to have ended. I called the gym and was told to contact Amye Edlin. After four days of attempting to make contact, I got an email with an updated contract term and a few condescending comments. Apparently, DeSoto Athletic Club is perfectly okay with blatantly lying to your face and committing highway robbery. I hate that I ever got involved with this gym.
If you’re considering starting a membership here, I highly suggest you reconsider.
GREAT gym. Love the atmosphere and very friendly staff. They have so much to offer for everyone. I have been going to the gym for years, and it's always been my favorite. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone!!
Decent gym at most.. If you want to try making some new friends/work out buddies don't come to this Gym though. Most people are insanely rude if you even look at them for one second. Don't get me started on one of the workers there which name I won't be listing to privacy reasons. Said I could pass for free & then charged me $35.00 for a guest although I had a guest pass.. My friend never came back after that. My brother decided to cancel and let me just say.. They REFUSED to let him until he had to clock out of his own work to go to them him self just to force a cancel. Been at this gym for 2-3 years, so yeah. At first it was amazing, but the workers & people there aren't the best people. Edit: Don't let my message sway you away though, it still has potential if they fire some of the bad employees. Some of the old ones are outstanding.
