I'm not sure if it's this store's policy or company wide but if you're a member of the inside track club you're getting screwed over. Every single time I have something on an extra discount through this membership they overcharge me. The only way to keep this from happening is to have the coupon out and in their face. They have all of my information in their system and then act like it is impossible to automatically give me credit on the items purchased that qualify for this extra discount. It's funny how Kroger figured this out 15 years ago but for Harbor Freight this is a technical hurdle they just can't get over. If I did this to my customers, promising savings then charging them full price without notifying them, I would rightfully be accused of fraud.
Someone said that their merchandise is substandard,.. Well, DUH!,.. they sell cheap Chinese junk.. But if you need a cheap "one time use" tool, this is your place.. And if you are careful, you can get some things that will last at a really good price.. Always, Always use a coupon, and get the free item, no matter what it is.. So you end up with a drawer full of flashlights and screwdrivers,.. they make good stocking stuffers,..and hey, everyone needs a tape measure here and there.. Bottom line is,.. be smart about it and Harbor Freight will work to your advantage.. Be dumb and, well..
Bought a zip saw from Harbor Freight that was sold to me as new. Brought it home and it was covered in saw dust with the broken blade still in the saw from the last person that had used it. They didn't even attempt to clean the saw or take the broken blade out before trying to pass it off as a new power tool.
The store is clean and the employees are always helpful. I love the coupons they send out too!
