This school is horrible and they are thieves!! I used financial aid they put your money from financial aid on a card that you use in the bookstore for books my advisor did not make me aware that I was short half a credit to be considered full time I had my usual four classes like I always have every semester except for this time my lab was 3.5 instead of 4 so when it was time for the school to cut me a check from my balance left on the card it was$21 dollars I called and asked what happened to my money which was suppose to be $700 some dollars they said I was at 13.5 hoursI had to have 14 hours to be full time (the amount of hours I quoted may be wrong but you get the idea) and financial aid felt as though I didn’t need the rest of that money I called financial aid they said once that money is granted it is mine and they don’t come back and take money back so that means the school pocketed the money I stop going there shady ass school
I wish I could give it no stars. This is the most incompetent school I have ever attended. Phyllis Johnson over the Elearning does not care about the students or their success. She has a very nonchalant attitude toward any concern you may have. She is very lazy and won't even thoroughly investigate the situation , but will gladly suggest you withdraw after 8 weeks of trying in the course , instead of fixing the problem. Do not take Mr. Allen's class for any math courses, terrible teacher and he will show you no mercy or grace on anything missed , even if you are sick. He changed his final exam date at the last minute and expects you to accommodate him, but never the other way around. Also , if you are struggling Mr. Allen will let you fail , he does not care and does not give study guides or multiple attempts. This school will waste your time and money. They had me in the wrong degree path and taking classes I didn't need up until last month. The teachers grade very slow , my English Comp 1 teacher literally graded everything at the end of the class. it is all about money here and some of these teachers are teaching 4 and 5 classes along with the one your taking , so they don't have the time or effort, but they still get paid! Mrs. Mary Bonds , who teaches various science classes will try and fail you by giving you 2 page study guides that have material not on the test and her quizzes are the most detailed trivial questions she can find in the chapters, not to mention you will get tested on material that is either on the chapter ahead or like the Final , covering questions outside of the given chapters to study. VERY FRUSTRATING! BEWARE ! DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
No one answers the phone I have tried speaking with admissions, the registrar, and a secretary. All I get is voicemail who wants to leave messages all the time when they really need help. Most of these reviews on here are bad and that's pitiful.
Just leave a message saying your offices are closed instead of lying like the wait is One minute I was waiting six minutes. Why would your switchboard need a voice mail? This experience has been horrible. Register making process long because someone else dropped the ball . Now I have to resubmit stuff I submitted six years ago. Uhh annoying I'll try another school. Wanted to finish where I started.
if you want to register, you might as well either do it online or drive your ass over to Senatobia, registration people don't help much. Overall, this is an average community college if you do not want to drive a long trek to senatobia. however, some of the teachers do not care about their students in terms of helping them pass or what not. so before blindly picking and repeating a couple of courses like I did, do some research on some of the instructors before deciding on one. there is also a chance the school will 'switch' instructors at the last minute without the students knowing about it. it happened a couple semesters ago, where the school switched a BIO I & II instructor with a human A&P instructor...
